FamyWay

Road trips in a convoy, with every car in the group on the map

When the group travels in several cars, Convoy Mode shows each car in road order, and Road Mode lets the phone talk to the driver.

Cars in road order

Convoy Mode shows the group's cars in sequence, who's driving each one and the distance from the first car to the last. If a car falls behind, everyone knows and can pick a place to regroup. With no signal, a car stays on the map at its last known position.

One-tap alerts

“Stopped for gas,” “Wait for me,” “Go ahead”: one tap tells the whole group, no typing needed. A short note can also show up on the map, where you are or at a spot you pick, and it's saved on the trip board.

Road Mode, for the driver

With the phone in its mount, the time to your destination shows in large type, trip board messages are read aloud and replies go by voice. The driver doesn't have to read anything, and whoever's in the passenger seat handles the rest.

Help on the road

A flat tire, feeling unwell or a breakdown: a help request tells the group what happened, with your last position and your car, and shows who's on the way to you. When everything's sorted, tap I'm OK. A help request alerts the group and doesn't replace emergency services: the app shows the emergency number where you are.

On the lock screen

With the phone locked, the time to your destination and the convoy's alerts keep showing, on iPhone and Android.

Frequently asked questions

Does FamyWay show the distance between cars?

Yes. Convoy Mode shows the distance from the first car to the last and lets everyone know when a car falls behind.

Does the driver need to use the phone?

No. Road Mode reads messages aloud and takes replies by voice. Don't use your phone while driving.

Does a help request call the police or an ambulance?

No, it alerts the group. In an emergency, call the emergency number where you are, which the app shows on screen.
